A digital tribute to a century of tradition

After more than 100 years of serving the Arosa community, Weber Bakery decided to close its doors. Markus and Trudi Weber wanted to thank their loyal customers and honor the remarkable history of their bakery in a meaningful way. They needed a digital platform that would serve as both a farewell message and a tribute to their legacy.

From Webflow to WordPress: functionality meets storytelling

We created a warm, nostalgic website that combines clarity, emotion, and user-friendliness. The project started with a Webflow design, which was later converted into a custom WordPress theme, providing the Webers with a familiar platform for future updates.

Key Project Highlights:

  • Heartfelt Farewell Message: A personal note from Markus and Trudi expressing their gratitude.
  • Historical Timeline: Milestones of the bakery, from its founding in 1922 to its closure, including the transformation into Tea Room Weber in 1942 and the 1962 renovation.
  • Visual Design: High-resolution images, soft typography, and a warm color palette reminiscent of freshly baked bread.
  • User-Friendly Navigation: An optimised structure ensuring the local community can easily explore the content.

A preserved Legacy, a community touched

The new website provided the Webers with a meaningful way to connect with their community one last time. The design preserves the bakery’s legacy and invites visitors to celebrate shared memories.

By transitioning to WordPress, the Webers gained an intuitive platform for long-term site management. The website remains a lasting tribute and an archive of the bakery's history.
